OUR HISTORY

Murphy Excavating began operation in 1952 by Jim Murphy.  The business started operations with a two-ton dump truck and Ford tractor with loader.  It called itself "Murphy Brothers."  Over the next few years, as Jim's three brothers (Stu, Dick, and Bob) finished school, they joined the business as well.  This allowed them to expand from primarily residential work to commercial projects as well...
